Iron filter water treatment

Rainfresh EAFO Iron Filter is based on the technology of oxidation and filtration. This filter works by adding oxygen to the incoming water by passing it through a bubble of compressed air which oxidizes the dissolved ferrous iron. A special oxidant medium (BIRM^®) acts as an insoluble catalyst and enhances the oxidation process. The resulting precipitated iron (Ferric Hydroxide) is filtered within the system and iron-free water comes out of the system for use.

Manganese Reduction

Envirogard EAFO systems can, in some cases, also be used to remove some Manganese from water with the same dependability as iron removal. However, for Manganese removal, pH of the water should be between 8.0 and 9.0 for best results.

All models are equipped with by-pass valve, drain line connections and automatic electronic timer control valve. Drain tubing and plumbing fittings not included.
